i came across an exhibition by sherrie knipe at the sullivan+strumpf gallery this afternoon.

 i love the materials sherrie uses (pine veneer, recycled pine, bronze).

  pieces are created by bending wood veneer into shapes using molds and clamps. i particularly like the lace detail in ‘boot lace’ and the comb soles in ‘wash n wear’.
