i had the pleasure of hanging out with ms o this evening in her charming little apartment.
she cooked me a lovely meal while i ransacked her ‘archive’ wardrobe…

in 1989, nike designer tinker hatfield was asked to design a shoe for the second chapter in the Back to the Future series. he created the power-lacing, self-illuminating, Nike MAG. 

riding on a pink hoverboard, michael j. fox made them the most famous shoe never made.

1500 pairs of the 2011 Nike MAG were made (minus power lacing). for 10 days only, 150 pairs will be auctioned off on ebay each day with all net proceeds going to the michael j.fox foundation to further parkinson’s research.

i popped by to see my friends at poepke today and discovered this beautifully detailed handmade jewellery range, 2 by lyn and tony. each piece is hand-crocheted kangaroo leather, semi precious stones, fine sterling silver and coloured silks.
i love how each label indicates hours taken to create each piece.
